Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Julie London, Frank Sinatra and Peggy Lee are just a few who influenced Donna’s love and style for Classic Jazz & Swing!
She is receiving international radio airplay and sales from her latest CD release, BECOMING... Ballads, Bossas, Blues & Beyond! (DBS Jazz Label). She headlined, in July 2005, with the Philadelpia-based Eric Mintel Quartet at the Monroeville Jazz Festival. National appearances include The Blue Note, The Rainbow Room, the Concorde (Catskills), Dallas Convention Center, high profile private fund raisers, the Byham Theatre, Alexander Fine Arts Theatre, Harry Caray’s and Luciano’s on Rush Street in Chicago. She won "Entertainer of the Year" in 1991 by Promise Records of New York and was nominated for an ASCAP award for Charlie’s Place, written for an off-Broadway production of “Harvey”. Her song “Gifts From the Heart” won recognition from the Volunteers of America Group. Donna has also appeared in numerous commercials (NFL with Jerome Bettis), billboards, magazines, industrial films and national ads.
Television appearances include The Joe Franklin Show, The Nancy Gold Show, and a surprise “walk on” guest with Regis & Kathy Lee. She was a guest on WQED’s “On Q”, and is the “Power Kard” voice for the Pittsburgh Symphony, the Spa Uptown and Multilingual Communications Corporation. She headlined the March, 2005 Westmoreland Jazz Society and a sold-out show at the Kean Theatre, sponsored by WPXI Television, and recently headlined the Pittsburgh Jazz Society’s 4th of July Holiday Concert. Donna’s national & international bookings include Jazz Festivals, club appearances & private events. Her hometown Pittsburgh bookings include Penn Brewery, Crawford Grill, Jamestreet, Dowes and events with the regional Jazz Societies. She regularly appears with well known artists Ken Karsh, Spider Rondonelli, the Jason Hollar Trio, and Ron Anthony (Frank Sinatra’s guitarist).
